In 2016-2017, the bilingual dinar from Cordoba marks one thousand three hundred years of existence. This study aims to set out some key ideas related to this coin in particular. Its key feature is the fact that it has a dual epigraph, in Arabic and Latin characters, symbolising the coexistence between Muslims and Christians on the Iberian Peninsula during the 8th century.
